I know I've posted this before but I have never been satisfied with how it looked so I have been giving it a bit of a spring clean and it makes a change from painting cowboys.

It is meant to be a Harry Potter type figure on a broomstick flying past an angry dragon. As you can see from the pics the dragon was originally a yellow and green colouring and I have changed this to a red and orange colour which I think makes it look more dramatic. I have also changed the teeth. The tongue has been removed and I shall be making a better forked tongue this time.

The wizard figure has been changed dramatically as I have altered the legs from a sitting position to more of a lying down prone position so it will look like it is speeding past the dragon when in place. I used (appropriately enough) Dragon parts for the figure which I have built up with milliput. The blue colour is just a base colour at the moment. I have also changed the head which I was never happy with originally. The head is from Hornet and I built up the hair with milliput. I have a pair of photo-etched glasses to put in place eventually. I also changed the right arm making it straighter.

A broomstick has been fashioned out of a cocktail stick and trusty milliput and the figure has been drilled out through his left leg to accommodate a good sized length of paper clip wire. This will then be bent to shape and around it I will shape a milliput forked tongue which will then be placed in the mouth of the dragon. The effect I am hoping for is the wizard appearing to fly past just brushing the edge of one fork of the tongue.

This is still in the early stages and I have still got a lot of work to do here so it will be a while until I get it finished but hopefully it will look better when completed. Hope you like what I am doing so far.

    Hi Jazz ,

Thought the dragon looked familiar ...spring cleaning eh ...what a improvment , the colours are certainly dramatic .[IMG]

There are lots of things being reworked and very well thought out indeed ....I don't have to do that with busts!!!!!

Looking froward to seeing more on this project

    Happy modelling
