WIP Tell the King to stop blabbering .......Flash is not dead !!

    Hi everyone

    Finished off the Senegalais bust ( yes will get pics sorted ) so next on the bench is this from Rob Lanes Elan13

    Depicting the late and great Rick Mayall in the character of Lord Flasheart

    To be honest I thought I already had started a WIP but can't see it !!!...so started this thread

    Here's some pics I am using

    All basecoated , eyes done , currently painting the tunic ....

    very nice rendering for leather, if you allow me? added more shadow in the hollows of the hair a few very dark ones will give you more volume in her hairstyle

    Thanks for the post ...the ones featured above are other members versions but I will certainly think about your suggestion when I paint the hair on the bust

    Just out of interest looking at the references what colours woukd you choose for the hair ?

    I note but experience when they have good results in an exel or word file

    BASED ---------------------------- ------ Shadow ------------- thinning
    # cheveux foncé : terre d'ombre brulée -------- base + noir -------------- base + blanc ou ocre
    # cheveux blonds : Ocre jaune + jaune + blanc --- base + terre d'ombre brulée ----base + blanc
    # cheveaux Roux : terre de sienne brulée + jaune--- base + terre d'ombre brulée--- base + ocre jaune

    Dark hair: burnt shade earth -------- base - -------------- base black - white or ochre
    Blond hair: Yellow ochre - yellow - white --- base - burnt shade earth ----base - white
    - Roux hairs: burnt-yellow-yellow-----base land--- base - yellow ochre,

    a nice start to this one. I do like the bust, but wonder whether it is just the angle of the photos or are the hands a little on the small side?

    So many great quotes from Lord F ....just had to watch all the series ...purely for research of course.....lol
