I recently was contacted by a good friend who purchased a 1/5 scale bust of Alastair Sims as Scrooge from the original 1951 film which was B & W and now available in full colour

I must confess to be a bit of a fan. I have the BW and Colorized version of the film and watch it each Christmas Eve

So naturally I ordered one immediately from Moon Devil Studios here in the USA.

The cost was $60.00 plus shipping and service was excellent.

I had never heard of Moon Devil but they have a large selection of movie characters and Sci-Fi subjects in 1/5 scale that appear be very well done indeed...such as The Howling Man from the Twilight Zone TV show.
On to Scrooge himself...

The bust comes well packaged and consists of the bust itself and a plinth for mounting which is rather nice.

John Dennett, the owner and sculptor has done 99% of the cleanup on each piece, a nice touch...and aporeciated by me !!

The detailing on the grey resin bust is crisp and accurate to the movie and Mr. Sims facial features have been captured perfectly.

The texturing on the beaver hat and fur lapels is subtle but well done and accurate.

While I would have liked to not have to deal with holes where the iris of the eye was, it is a simple fix with the use of putty

Painting could be done, literally in black and white or one could get a copy of the colorized version of the film from Amazon and do Scrooge, after his metamorphosis, in his Christmas Day finery.

All in all, a very nice piece. Scrooge will be sitting on my mantle this Christmas and I will certainly be looking at the rest of the Moondevil range in the future.
