After a couple of months I resume work on this RP Models "Carthago War Elephant" piece.

I am already well underway, and I want to share my work with you.

Looks great! What do you use for your metal finishes? They look very realistic.

Really nice work; especially the elephant's skin tones and the eyes.

Sal, this is excellent and coming along really well. You are wise to do it in stages, as with such a long project it is easy to lose steam. Top job! (y)

Looking good so far. That is a monumental project you have taken on for sure. I like the way the elephant came out.

    Looking great so far.

I'm also working on this massive project (slowly, in between other stuff I have on the go) but you are further ahead than me so these are very useful reference photos for the elephant's skin (if you don't mind?! ).

    Will be following with interest.

PS: Elephants have tusks, not fangs!

I finally finished this long job, the greatest danger was having too much time on hand and therefore getting bored. I did the job three times, with as many breaks. In the end, I am happy to have completed the work and to be able to put, in my collection, in the display case, a piece that will surely stand out. In the end, I can say that the work was a lot and that I had a lot of fun painting it. The future of fashion sketches is certainly in skits and increasingly dynamic pieces. Up the brushes ... to everyone, hoping to meet us, at the shooting, at the exhibitions. photo_2020-11-22 11.17.59.jpeg photo_2020-11-22 11.17.32.jpeg photo_2020-11-22 11.18.03.jpeg photo_2020-11-22 11.17.52.jpeg photo_2020-11-22 11.17.46.jpeg photo_2020-11-22 11.17.23.jpeg photo_2020-11-22 11.17.18.jpeg photo_2020-11-22 11.17.28.jpeg photo_2020-11-22 11.18.22.jpeg photo_2020-11-22 11.18.18.jpeg photo_2020-11-22 11.18.14.jpeg photo_2020-11-22 11.17.09.jpeg
