I still a few touch ups here and there, but wanted to share what is for all practical purposes, my finished version of Pegaso's magnificant Decurio Equitum in 75mm. I decided to go with a brown horse, after experiencing such difficulty with the white horse I painted for Pegaso's mounted Hussar captain. This was so much easier, I think the rest of my cavalry subjects will be riding bays from now on.

This is a great figure, well worth the price and I'd recommend it to anyone interested in this period. If anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer them. Thanks everyone for having a look.

Wow, that's a might impressive piece of painting Glenn. The details on the greaves and armour are particularly well done.

I know its not your fault, but the horse looks rather short-legged to me. Is that just a trick of the camera or is it a short horse??

Thanks Sam, Carl and Gordy. Glad you liked the effort. Thanks also Tony, I think the problem is the bloke on the horse is too tall! :D

Thanks guys, it's great to hear from you all and I am pleased that this work has struck a chord with everyone. I am looking forward to seeing your version David, as your earlier post provided inspiration for mine. Marc, I think the yellow you are seeing is a result of the photography. When I look at the pictures, I can see what you mean, but this colour isn't there in real life.
