Couple of Aussie mates - Rob "Boots" Wellington & Alan Mackie undertook this ambitious conversion of a Naked Army's 1\6 WW1 Aussie Artilleryman into Red Baron.

Head courtesy of an old Mike Good bust, the rest is the work by the guys - Al sculpted it, Boots did paintwork & final finishing.

An impressive figure that stands 12" tall.

Thanks for the encouraging words everyone. As you can see from the conversion most of the hard work was done by Al. Hopefully will have another conversion in the pipeline soon. Cheers,

Any chance you guys might get Mikes permission to use the head and cast some of these for sale?

Thank you for the positive comments on this project, Boots first suggested this about 12 months , ago he purchased Mikes Red Barron bust , I had an artilleryman figure from naked army i cut the original head off then ground off all the uniform detail from the original figure i then fitted the Red Barron head and sculpted in the detail of the uniform from a picture Boots had and it went from there,i must say it was great fun to do this conversion which I enjoyed immensely.
Sorry Jason it's a one off piece for Boots collection
    Cheers
    Al
