  3. Possibly in my brand, and in a new series that will appear in the fall, I will get a Russian cuirassier with armor in 1812. To decide between the regiment of cuirassiers Astrakan or Novgorod.

In sculpture, the cuirassiers line regiments mostly looked the same, the difference was only in the colors of some elements of the uniform. Only the Pskowski Cuirassier Regiment, which for a rather long period of time wore a dragoon uniform during the war, differed significantly, and part of its troops were trophy French cuirass. Therefore, it makes no difference Astrakhanski or Novgorodski regiment.

If you have the opportunity, the Austerlitz battlefield is a must see. It is very well preserved with the lone major exception of an old Soviet radar station 'golfball' on the Pratzen Heights. You also can stay & dine in the refurbished Stariya Postna (?) or Post Station where Alexander & Francis stayed prior to the battle and Napoleon stayed after. I highly recommend it. The museum is also worth seeing on the Pratzen Heights.

  6. Indeed stv, I only referred to what color I would like to paint the horse's saddle colck and holster and the rider's neck. I do not take into account the skirts of the coat because the figure will wear a coat.

  7. Jaybo, thanks for your recommendation. In a future trip I will visit the museum and battlefield of Austerlitz.

I received my copy Saturday. I have longed for CHRONOS to do the Chevalier Garde as it was at Austerlitz and have told them so more than once. It is a magnificent figure.

    Excellent painting.

There are minor mistakes, and the author knows about them, but for those who will paint this figure, it is worth knowing:
    1. The buttons on the trousers were covered with gray cloth.
    2. The sword was fastened with a back strap to the sword belt in the middle of the back, and the front strap was attached directly in the middle of the left side.
  14. Svt, thank you very much for the details. Without a doubt excellent figure and excellent painting.
