    Hi Guys

The project is coming to an end with PF member Kevin Dunne organising and coordinating the display

Due to a forthcoming move I'll be unable to get "I'll be home soon" finished.....surrounded by boxes ...my apologies both to Kevin and MC ...it will be back on my bench soon !

Anyway it's my pleasure to share pictures of some of the exhibits

Looks like there's gonna be a variety of cool pieces at the display. Excellent design on those nameplates too.

Hope Kevin posts plenty of pics of the event!

    Greetings everyone!

I just finished this British Sailor that Richie sent me. I added a mix of matt medium to some Future to give the tie a slight sheen. Please let me know if you see any issues right away as I need to fire this guy off to Kevin lickity split!

    Thanks,
    Joe

    Hi Joe,
I cannot believe how quickly you have turned this around considering the time it was posted to you. Stellar work mate.(y) Sorry I did not have the time to tweak a couple of accurate changes to the bust in order to bring it more in line to a WW1 uniform.
But at least the Senior Service is well represented now for their active service between 1914-1919 by your great painting mate. As Nap said lovely skin tones.
Again top job even more so considering the timescale.
    cheers

    Thanks Richie!

Actually I could have finished him sooner only I was out of town for the weekend:)!

It was a fun and educational little project, a subject I otherwise would not have tackled.

Well, the Armistice Project closes tonite. It was a great success and one of the most popular exhibits of the year.
I will keep everyone updated on the progress of the permanent exhibit as it unfolds.
Most of you have generously offered to donate your works to the permanent exhibit. If anyone's postilion on this has changed any you want me to return your work to you. Let me know asap.
Thanks again to all involved. It has been my great pleasure working with you all. My special thanks to Kevin Peart and Nick Dransfield without whose help, the Project would have never been possible. A Merry Christmas to all.

Happy New Year everyone. Hopefully everyone is back to painting after eating and drinking for a week.
I have received funding from the gallery for a permanent display case but the gallery has also received requests from local high schools for a "road show" of the busts, artwork and a lecture on the causes and effects of WWI, so I am awaiting information from the gallery as to the schedule, if any, for the lectures.
The busts are safely boxed and stored in my house in the meantime.
I will keep you advised of events as they unfold.
    Thanks again...
