Here is a figure by PiliPili of one of the most famous Japanese swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi.
This was an excelent quality product, and l liked the fact that the pose is very dramatic, and also that it shows that some research was done, with the fact that the wooden sword is included in the kit, which was Miyamotos weopon of choice. Enjoy

Nice painting. I particularly like the harmonious, mute tones.

As for the inclusion of the bokken (wooden sword), it's a reminder that under the Tokugawa rule, peace came to Japan after centuries of civil wars. The samurai lost much of their status as a warrior class. To enforce civil peace, it was forbidden to carry swords and other weapons on the street (like in Dodge City!). Many ex-warriors started to carry the wooden swords used for training which in the right hands were as deadly as the metal ones.

And of course, it's nod to Miyamoto Musashi who according to his legend, killed his arch enemy and rival Kojiro with a wooden boat oar. Here's the duel from a classic film:
