    Hi guys,

One of the my latest work is this bust from Alexandros Miniatures. It was a work for a collector. All is painted in oils except for the metal of the stick that was done with metal powder. I hope you like it.
    Thanks for looking.

Hello, beautiful painting. Truly a work of art. This intrigued me. We realize now similar project with busts and awards.
The only thing that is different than would be liked me. The stand of pale wood. Cross on it at all nevinikne. I would vote for another darker tone wood.
    But your painting is excellent.

Thank you very much for the kind comments, my friends!
I appreciate it. Thanks for looking and making the comments.

    For Chris :
I used satin black from Humbrol, waited about an half hour to make sure no whet spots are visible, and that it would seem that the paint is dry, and as you guessed I have put some graphite on a paper and with a brush I started to rub it into the paint, again and again, at the top rub it more in and at the bottom less to give some highlights and shadow, and you will see that after a while it looks like pure metal.
Finishing off you can do with some blue black oilpaint. For resin figures I use this method all the time because in my opinion I get the best results to achive metal on non metal figures. Just make sure not to wait to long to rub the powder in because it wont work anymore once the paint is completely dry, and allways start with the powder before you do the rest, like the face etc. because it's difficult to remove the powder from painted arrea's.

    For Palo :
You're right about the base, mate. I also think a darker one would look better for the bust.

    For Marc :
You've came a long way, don't give up, keep practising, you will see that you will keep improving.

    Cheers,

Wonderful smooth brushwork and some of the best skin tone blends I have ever seen from an Oil Painter.

Nice work! This is one of my favorite recently released busts. If I may offer a small constructive critique, I believe he's holding gloves and goggles in his left hand. It looks like the goggles have been painted the same leather as the gloves. Also, the button at the bottom of his right sleeve (on the leather coat) should probably be dark brown to match the rest of the buttons on the coat. Small points on an overall well done piece.

Thank you for the kind comments, guys! Much appreciated!:)

Jason : I've noticed it when the photo's where taken that I forgot about the button and the goggles, corrected it, but used the wrong photo's. I saw it when I had put the wrong photo's on here on PF and didn't know how to change them. Wondered how long it would take untill somebody saw these little two details;). You have a good eye!

    Cheers,

    Eddy
