KUDOS - Mitches Military Models

I want to take a moment to share the great service and support I received from a manufacturer. I purchased one of Mitches Military Models (MMM) kits from a retailer. When it arrived there were some significant air bubbles in the torso of the kit. Since I was pretty familiar with the high quality of MMM products I figured (no pun) that this was just a bad cast. I contacted Ross Mitchell who sent me not one but two replacement torsos as either Royal Mail or the USPS lost the first. No questions, no quibbling. That is truly standing behind your product.

I am happy to be able to say that this is not the first time that one of the kit producers in our small community has displayed this kind of willingness to make things right. Indeed, its one of the things that makes the hobby more enjoyable and I have yet to have a bad experience in 25 years of working hard to fill the ranks of my gray army. Maybe its been my luck to have dealt with people like Ross but kudos nonetheless!

Nice one ...it just goes to show the size isn't everything the smaller companies like MMM ie CGS , Stormtroopers all have built their reputation not only on the models but customer service and personally that is what I want .

    Kudos indeed

I recently accepted a commission to paint their new Chasseur bust.....during the prep stage I over did it with the Dremel....lost control....and a lot of the lacing on the torso!
Dropped Ross a PM...asking if I could purchase another torso....bear in mind the damage was totally my fault.....
His response was simply..accidents happen...let me have your address....and the next day a replacement torso arrived...completely FOC!
    I speak as I find....you can't fault that for customer service (y)

Had a similar experience with Gra of CGS. Totally my fault I ruined a head on a bust. Contacted Graham who supplied a new head foc. Excellent customer service.
Also I have used MMM on several occasions (no problem with the kits) Gordon always takes the time to talk and is so enthusiastic.

Not to hijack another thread that is running, but you wouldn't get this service from re casters. These guys deserve our support as when asked they support us.

    Peter.
