As it happened with Junkers and Black Blood Children, our next faction will be released through collective funding in the Kickstarter platform. Those who follow us in Facebook or other social networks already know it will be the V Reich, a new highly-militarized, Mutard-hating human faction (yes, it wasn't our first option, but popular demand wants what popular demand wants).

In its faction PDF file (which has gone through a beta-testing phase and even has its own version for playing long-term campaigns) you will find their rules and summarized background, as well as being able to create your own band to go around busting faces across the Wasteland as good, healthy, genetically superior human beings. But if you want the official miniatures to be cooler than anyone else, next day 30th of October in the evening we will open the crowdfunding campaign to be able to afford designing, printing and producing the first Reich miniatures.

If you want to get a taste of what this faction will look like, although there is still some hidden surprises to be revealed, here you are the first sketches drawn by Marco Paraja, as well as the first 3D design made by GT Estudio and an awesome illustration created by Israel Pato.

If you want to keep informed, follow this thread and our webpage, or like us in Facebook or Twitter.

Seems odd to see this next to Anne Frank

More miniatures unveiled for our upcoming KS campaign, starting on the 30th of October:

    Marshal for the faction.

And alternative "Red Helmet" head, exclusive for this crowdfunding.

That would complete the basic pack of 6 miniatures to be funded. On the next days we will be uncovering the add-ons, with more miniatures to be unlocked (some for free, others as optional purchases).

I simply don’t see the need for this fifth Reich claptrap...

I'd be quite interested to learn what makes people interested in this genre. To each his own, but personally I am totally in the dark about what could possibly be attractive about such nazi-based fantasy/steampunk/horror (for lack of a proper name). Never to old to learn though.
I know this genre exists in Asia, but does it anywhere else?
    Sorry for going off-topic...

I agree with you, and likewise am curious. But then I’ve felt that we might be too close in time to recent world wars to come to terms with the symbols and so on...am somehow troubled at modelling tanks and aircraft that killed our grandparents, and would expect a descendant of a family from Dresden might balk at modelling bombers...it’s maybe one thing to appreciate machinery..and recognize heroic acts, whatever..but I can’t see this..but am open minded and share in asking the question

I don't mind history being depicted and I like some fantasy pieces but this series is just a load of nonsense akin to the Adolforc monstrosity released earlier this year at the same time as holocaust day! The third reich was a catastrophe for hundreds of millions of people and to now talk of the V reich faction.... They can release all the add-ons and extra figures they like but I wouldn't fund them in a million years.

I had to look that one up...adolforc? Childish and monstrous at the same time...and bad sculpting to boot

Hi, people. Bad Roll Games as a company has been active for four years now with the 30 mm post-apocalyptic skirmish wargame "Punkapocalyptic", set in an irreverent, lethal and tacky future, with our background, setting and stories being usually not politically correct: they are grungy, punk, bawdy, and a little dirty. This new band, as we said in our first post, will be the fifth playable faction for the game and has been beta-tested for a while now, with quite a nice success among our gaming community. It is not a "genre" on its own, but another approach to a new human faction integrated in our game's background (after the punk Gangers, the steam-punk Junkers, the twisted Mutants and the crazy oil-worshipping Black Blood Children).

As a company we don't endorse any political ideology or speech and we have deliberately avoided the use of any forbidden symbols (ie., the swastika) to keep this new faction as "clean" as possible. Surely we are not the first, nor will be the last, company to use I or II World War German/Nazi/Prussian inspiration, regalia and equipment for a tabletop game or wargame miniatures set in any era (Victorian, sci-fi, post-apoc or historical fiction). We are sorry if these renders trouble you, you are of course completely free to express your opinions about our work and ignore our KS campaign completely if you think it doesn't deserve to be funded. Our job is to try to expand our range of miniatures with new additions that appeal to a wider public, and judging by our previous crowdfunding campaigns' progression and the hype created by these renders we think we can make it.

And now, for those who might be interested, more 3D renders before the campaign begins!

One of the Soldats will have detachable arms, with a total of four, so you can have more assembly options for him. One of those arms will include the Mastiff, and the shotgun-dog combination is a really nasty one!

These renders are not yet final, but subject to minor changes (equipment wearing, tearing and so on). Anyway the final miniature will look pretty much like this.

Thank you for stepping up with the story..I reacted seeing the announcement right next to the Anne Frank bust...I still don’t understand the concept, even as part of a game, and wonder to what extent producing to meet a perceived demand and standing neutral on the implicit theme is appropriate. My business thins wouldn’t..but I don’t know gaming so I may be reading more into it than is there..at what point does fantasy represent desired reality on the part of players..to me, even with the explanation the fifth Reich idea seems way too close to the limits of good taste and respect for comfort..however I do thank you..had intended to send a PM asking because it’s not really fair to slag something and not hear the other persons side of things..

    Hi, Old Johnny

Our first post appearing next to an Anne Frank bust was completely by chance, you have our word there were no hidden intentions there.

That's a really good question, but one only players themselves can answer. As we said, our company doesn't endorse any political speech and we would never try to use our brand, miniatures, social media or other means to spread any type of political propaganda. What the buyer wants to see there, it's up to them (for good, or bad). In this faction's background we depict them as misleaded lunatics, with a fetish for this type of German Reich regalia and a heavily militarized organization, but lacking any understanding of what happened in the World of Before. Not a very appealing approach for any would-be fanatic.

We reckon this is mostly a painters' forum, not much into tabletop or wargames, so maybe we are a bit out of our element here. Anyway, I appreciate you writing back and your words. I would have answered before having to publish the new renders, but somehow the thread tools failed to notify me by email the new posts, so sorry for taking so long in getting back to you.

Thanks for enlightening us with the direction you've come from and for such a polite and dignified explanation of what you're about. It's nice to have dialogue to bridge different worlds.

    Cheers

The Kickstarter will go live tomorrow evening, so it's a good time to show you the first two stretch goals for the campaign:

Ilse, She-wolf of the V Reich (based on the classic 1975 B-series cult movie "Ilsa, She-wolf of the SS"), will be a free addition to all pledges with access to unlocked extras.

Captain Hammerica, nemesis of the V Reich marshals, will be an optional add-on you will be able to add to any pledge as an individual miniature. He will be a Merc special character with his own stats.

Remember, tomorrow October 30 at 18:00 Spanish Time (CET +1)!

We enter the last week of the Kickstarter with two stretch-goals already unlocked and the next two close at hand!

Ilse and Hammerica are already funded miniatures, the first one for free for any pledge with access to extras, and the second as an add-on to purchase.

There is also a social goal unlocked, which will get you an alternative head for the Soldats.

We also added a new stretch goal which is only 500 euros away, a file to 3D print a V Reich Pulpit made by our friends at Thunder Chrome. Once printed this scenery element will measure more than 10" high and 5" wide, an awesome addition to any Wasteland gametable.

And right after that there is a second free miniature, the female Ubersoldat unlocking at 18.000 euros we showed you a few days ago.

We have added new miniatures as add-ons from our previous KS campaign, so if you didn't take part and want to get your hands on some lovely yet-unreleased miniatures, this is your chance!

Seven days left to enter. PLEDGE NOW!!
  18. Kushtar Member

We have entered the last 48 hours of campaign with a new FREE unlocked miniature and the extra arms for Medic and Soldat right at grasp's reach at 19K.

For the basic 50 euros pledge, you can now get more than 113 euros worth of items (miniatures included in the basic pack will be retailed for 70 euros):

And we have also lowered all the stretch-goals for the last three miniatures in 1000 euros each, so they are closer than ever! At 20K you can unlock the only weapon missing in our catalog, the fearsome Junker's Vaporeta!
