Imperial Gallery 120mm para Falklands wip

    Dear Friends
    Only me again with my latest wip.This time its an imperial gallery 120mm paratrooper Falklands.Ive lost count the number of times the slr barrel has snapped off grrrr!!!.Has anybody any tips on painting the scrim attached to his helmet please?/???.

    To put an end to you barrel woes. I'd drill it out, and replace it with either brass, or plastic rod.
    As for the scrim, I tend to use controlled dry brushing.:eek:

    Hi Carl
    Thanks for looking at the para.I have decided to leave the barrel of the slr till last!!.I think i will use some plastic rod and might in future consider making myself an slr and cast it up in resin.The dpm wasnt easy.Ive got an artic smock myself and tried to match the colours.I washed the camo with a Humbrol acrylic dark brown and it toned it down a tad and looks as if its maybe soaked in peaty soil/water.
