HIstorex Flat Pin-Up Conversion

Well, it's a bit late the Christmas, but this is a minor conversion of the Historex flat resin Pin-up figure. The original is based on a Gil Elvgren painting. They did a nice job on the folds in the nightie, but the face was little more than engraved lines and a bump and ridge for the nose.

I used Aves Apoxie Sculpt to add the fur trim and hair extensions. I combed out the fur with an old ragged oil painting brush. It seemed to work well.

All paints are Reaper acrylics. I painted the nightie sheer so you can see the underlying skin tones behind it. The boots are a very dark gray, black, and a slightly lighter blue-gray with a clear satin finish over them. Less is more...

    Questions and comments are welcome.

    Cheers,

    Glen

Thanks everyone! It's my fourth flat and I'm still getting the hang of the whole highlight and shadow thing. It's a bit different from my usual 54mm medieval rounds.

The figure has potential for other conversions, but flat conversions are just something you don't see a lot of. Nature of the beast, I suppose. I got this one on sale from Squadron last month, but it's now off their website completely.

I do have an on-again, off-again project of sculpting flats in putty, so there's more scantily clad babes in my future.

    Questions and comments are welcomed.

    Cheers,

    Glen

Robert/Jay, thanks for the comments. Always good for the ego! I still have a couple of flats in my gray army, one of which is a 100mm dancing girl which will be undergoing another converision. She actually gets more to wear...

    Cheers,

    Glen
