An excellent bust, sculpted by Piotr Czyż. British grenadier of 1st Regiment of Foot.

Good work, the face has the look off being in a battle for a few weeks.
Dirty, tired and with red eyes.

Whoa, pull this poor tired guy off the front line for a while! A weary look for sure! I like the opportunity for color on this piece, this makes me want to pull mine off the shelf!

You may want to check your reference(s) the 1st Regiment had blue facings not green. This would also mean the large green portions of the cap were blue. ~Gary

Click on Regiments in North America 1755-1763, then click on the 1st Regt located on the menu on the right hand side of the page.

Yes, it is my mistake. In artbox grenadier's facings were green, but it isn't justification for me.
    Thanks, Gary.

That may be the most accurate portrayal of an 18th century face I have ever seen. He looks exhausted, battle fatigued and malnourished all in one. Excellent job!

Hello, thank you for the reference. First of all I'm not an expert at this era, but in my opinion the mitre is made out of blue cloth, but the circle in the middle (with the lettering) should be green.

    Please check those links out:

http://www.1stroyals.org/equipment.html (Mitre section). There are also some minor changes in the mitre colors - please notice yellow borders and the tree colors end of the cap.
