    Hi all,
This is my latest finished bust from Stormtroopers. It is a Gordon Highlander 1914 sculpted by Carl Reid.
This is a brilliant figure by an amazing sculptor, it was a real pleasure to paint.
The bust has been finished off with acrylics (life colour), some air brushing and oil paints. The face was painted with Vallejo colours building up in translucent washes.
This is my first WW1 figure of any kind and would much appreciate any pointers and information that you think will improve my technique and knowledge.

    Thanks, Sam B

    Cool Gordon highlander!!!
I like the color of the uniform in particular.
The facial expression is also wonderful.
    I congratulate completion.

Looks a lovely job Sam, love the details on the chevrons and the webbing. My only critcism would be is the the blue dicings should be darker, almost black.
    Carl.

    Hi there ,
A very nice job indeed , like the fleshtones , nice uniform colour , the detailing on the cheverons is really good and the Tartan patch is spot on .
I do agree about the bonnet being darker though ..easily sorted out .

    Thanks for posting
