    Hi all,

Another foot figure. References are from Bucquoy. This is a conversion based on marrying the body (Airfix grenadier) to Historex legs. About 5mm had to be removed from the legs to make it work. The head is Preiser with Historex busby.

The tree stump serves two purposes - background and to protect that drum mace from accidental breakage.

    Hi Victor,

Another great piece mate. You must have quite a collection built up over many years. Please keep posting us your pics.

    Cheers

    Good conversion.
I like it. But i don't like the base with the tree .
I suppose that a drummajor was not in the field of war. But that he is in this dress at a parade. So a field "base" seems rare.

I like this conversion Victor, but I'm with Marc on this one. A drum major in all his finery looks a bit out of place doing his thing in the woods. :)

    Hi all,

    thanks for comments.
This Drum Major is dressed for a campaign. They usually led the head of a column. Thus he is humping a knapsack. The ref also shows him and another soldier in a "field" with white fencing. The ref shows white leggings (as opposed to black leggings). The proximity of the tree stump is pragmatic (I did break the mace before I finished the piece).

    Hi Marc,

Main reference is Bucquoy vol on Infanterie and Elting's Knotel's Vol 1.
I dont' have it on hand. I dont have specific ref to this unit on Osprey.

    30th Line Regt

    Hi Marc,

the figure should be titled 30th Line regt, not 9th Line regt.
