Hey all - I finished this wonderful figure about a week ago. Another 75mm beauty from Pegaso. I usually finish about 3 figures during my Winter time off, but this may be the only one I get done this time. Anyway, I had a enjoyable time painting this. The reds turned out a little darker in the photos than it actually is. Painted all in acrylics - Vallejo, Andrea, Reaper, JoSonja, Ceramcoat, Pollyscale, Games workshop. All comments, questions, critiques are welcome. Hope you enjoy!

Love it! ( huge ancient world era fan ), What color did you use for the helmet and was it just that color and a outline because I have a 1/16 hoplite and I would love to make the armor stand out like that. Also was the fox fur dry brushed white or highlighted?

    Best regards, Mag~

Thanks all for your comments - Additionally:

Hardy,Vergilus,Costas - Thank you. It was definitely more difficult than I have done before. I felt like I was back in my model building days. Paint, assemble, paint, assemble ect...

Mag~ - The armour was tough but here is what I basically did. I actually airbrushed all armour before painting anything else. I used Testors plain cheap old 49cent leaf gold. This is the only spot I deviated from acrylics. Used washes of sepia, tried to outline with black and hit highlights with silver. The fox is drybrushed over a black base with varying light shades of gray than spot washed in areas with browns and reds. Hope this helps.

Jay & Guy - Thanks for your words of encouragement. Are either one of you going to Atlanta? And, Jay, did you get the screwdriver back from the Tulsa show? I left it with someone that was suppose to return it to you, but I have a feeling you didn't get it back.

    Hi Brad,

Wonderful painting. I think you've handled the reds with great control and subtlety. From what I've heard this is not an easy kit to build and paint, so you have my compliments.
