Very Nice paint job Brian!!! About the ground... I don't know if it needs much more... it looks good as it is.

    Brian ,

Very nice indeed , love the way the clothing has been done particularly the way it hangs over the sword ....really impressive painting ...................groundwork I would be inclined to keep it simple so as not to detract from the wonderfully painted figure

    Thanks for sharing

Beautiful work! Nice contrast and the colors are very nice.(y)
About the groundwork just a suggestion: after painting keeping the same contrast, you can place, here and there, few leafs. Keep it simple.
    Cheers,

Very nice Brian, an excellent job all around, are the soles/heels of the boots painted red for any reason or was it a fashion of the times ? I only ask as I'm painting a similar figure and don't know that much about the period so just curious (y)

    Hi Steve
I know that Louis x1v wore red soles and heels and the fashion took off so that anybody of note wore them, but i'm not too sure about this fella so if there's somebody out there with more knowledge of this period please let me know.

    Brian,

I always look forward to see new work from you and I never have been disappointed. Great paint job as usual. And do not question your photographic skills. These are good enough...

    Very good painting
Ground is as good as it can
Don't try to overdo grounds, the attention here is to the figure as it must be
