Completed Captain Jack Sparrow

    In the last year I visited Sorrento in Italy and in one of the gift shops there I saw the attached blond pirate bust. It was only 5 Euros and I could see possibilities so I bought it and converted it into Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates fo the Caribbean.

    Apart from a bit of Milliput to lower the bandana on his forehead and the creamy white stick (I think its a clay pipe in the film but its hard to say) stuck into his hair this was achieved totally by repainting. Oh yes, I also used twisted wire and beads to make the twin braided beard. Oils for the flesh tones and acrylics for the remainder were used.

    As different as night and day. You've definitely made a silk purse out of a
    sows ear. . . Big time.

    Very nice work. and I love the design of that belt buckle on his chest. Will
    have to keep that in mind fer my next pirate painting.
