One of the best figure sculpting reference books and posing figures you can find is Bill's "Military Modeling Master Class". ISBN 1-872004-09-1. Amazon.com has some used starting at $14.25; new starting at $54.44. It also has vignettes and dioramas. It's a really nice book for the aspiring sculptor/figure converter.

Bill was a real inspiration to me in the late 80s,when I first saw his work in military Modeling 'Last Stand at Ganadamak'i was completely overwhelmed,I just loved the way he weathered his pieces as well as create and paint them,and to top it all a nice bloke,

His ability to create facial expressions is fantastic.
