Hi Guys been a while since my last post on this figure, this is the stage I am at just now.
The horse is nearly completed, just a few accessory's to add.The groundwork including the water effects are finished and the figure is nearly ready to go on the horse. The water was made with Vallejo transparent water built up in several layers, the foam and splashes are made from white scorerer pads ,torn into small pieces and applied with the Vallejo water.
I think it looks effective, let me know what you think.

    Cheers David

Brilliant innovation with the water, David! I have a book of the work of American western artist Frank McCarthy and have brainstormed for years to find a suitable method of represent his water with horses moving violently through it; you nailed it. The entire piece is going to be masterful. Thanks for sharing!

    Hi David!

This is becoming a very convincing scene. I like the horse, groundwork and water a lot. The splashing however is not up to the same high finnish as the rest of the piece at this stage. When I look at the pictures I dont see foam or splashes but more of the basematerial used to build it up. But it was finnished if I understood it correctly?

Im wondering what would happen if you put thicker coats of the same material as the water on the straws from the scorerer pad? Or even the water effect stuff from Woodland Scenics or Clear Varnish?

Have you tested that, or has someone else tested it.
And if you test it, please do it on a sample piece first as I would not like to take part in destroying such beutiful work.

    Cheers
