I believe that the 28th Served throughout the Napoleonic war's as light infantry. This is the figure from FeR miniatures of a colour Sgt of 1815. The detail of parts and fit are 2nd to none and slots together a treat.
I am at the stage of using oils on the jacket and most of the figure will be done in acrylic.
I also have the Drummer to go with this one but I will do him when this one is finished.
I have a reference book by C.E Franklyn on British Napoleonic Uniforms, Facings and Lace.

hi bob, must admit i am the same as you with the books but s.w.m.b.o. is getting a bit annoyed with me as every room in the house seems to have some form of reference book in it so i have to be careful when i get anymore and using pintrest deflects some of the flak!!!!

Really nice work Bob... I was hemming and hawing about these two figs but your positive words may have swayed me.

The Franklin book is the best reference I've seen. I love the style, not so artistic... more technical. Had to borrow it from the library... then proceeded to colour photocopy the entire book. I do love afternoon shift :sneaky:

Look forward to more progress and the inclusion of the drummer boy

    Carry on
