Royal Scots Grey Battle of Balaclava 1854 (Crimea)

My first 75mm figures and scene, I hope to work with more in the future.
The Heavy Dragoons of British army were deployed for the first time since Waterloo at the Battle of Balaclava, winning at the fight after what seemed insurmountable odds outnumbered 3/1 by Russian Cavalry, only using Swords they slashed and hacked their way to victory. Earning their fearless reputation and motto, "Second to None". The model The vignette depicts two Scots Grey officers after the battle standing among the debris of war. Made using the Maurice Corry 75mm Scot Grey standing figure x2, converted specifically for the scene, including a Pegasso naked horse and many scratch built items including all the bridal wear and ground work including debris like wrecked wagon wheel, the face of the second figure was re-sculpted to give a different look and the sword remade as the original figure is grasping the sword at hilt.

War Horse Rescue - Completed

Overall an enjoyable 1/35 build to depict compassion in war, dedicated to the seven million horses of WW1 that didn’t make it home.

Last Judgment - 1/35 vignette now completed

Set during the kaiserschlacht (Spring offensive) of 1918, based on images of horses and men in poison gas protection as a possible rather than actual event.

The scene for me is an Apocalyptic vision of hell on earth, with hidden biblical references to the four horsemen of the aplocolypse allegory within the work.

Bengal Lancer at Arras 1917, a 1/35 conversion of ICM figure, Masterbox horse and hornet head.

Finished in time for ANZAC day 2019

17th Light Horse Regiment - Australia 1912
The 1/35 scene depicts horses and men resting after a long days ride, with men relaxing and horses quenching their thirst.

My first go at making a tree (River Gum) and using deep water (resin) effect creating part of a creek.

Finished the scene today.

Heavy conversion of Masterbox and Miniart kits and Scratch Build in 1/35 scale.

Depicting a Scene at the battle of Anghiari 1440, as tribute on the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci, inspired from his Lost Masterpiece of the same name recreated by Peter Rubens and many other artists.

I can only echo the comments made already.
Really looking forward to seeing this finished.

A 1/35 depiction of the Charge at Hùj, 8th Nov 1917 by the combined Yeomanry forces of Worcestershire and Warwickshire Regiments. The last great unsupported cavalry charge of the British army, the end of an era.

Chunuk Bair (Gallipoli) 8th to 10th August 1915

Using ICM, Masterbox, MiniArt and 1/35 Hornet head figure parts, with scratch-built details and base to recreate the desperate struggle of the NZ Wellington’s attempt to hold the Ridge at Chunuk Bair, during the Gallipoli campaign in 1915.

Stirrup Charge - 1914

Depicting a scene from St Quentin where the Scots Greys and Blackwatch Stirrup Charged the German front line, the scene is fictitious propaganda as reported in newspapers back in Blighty to show a romantic start to WW1.

1/35 Re-sculpted and converted ICM figures, with re-sculpted hornet heads Masterbox horses with scratch built base.

9th Lancers at Elouges Battle of Mons - 1914

1/35 conversion and scratch build to recreate a scene from 24th August 1914 from the battle of Mons only weeks before the stalemate and hellish nightmare of trench warfare began. The 9th Lancers of the British BEF take on elements of Von Kluck’s 1st German Army. The First Victoria crosses were awarded to the 9th that day, it would be the last time Lance on Lance engagement took place a relic of previous wars to be replaced with mechanized war.
