And again one for my cabinet. I must add the white point in the eyes and the gloss. The fishes are a nice idea, but I really don´t know why he is wearing them on his shoulde

It's an interesting sculpt. It reminds me a little bit of a Sontaran.

    Prost!

Thank you Brad. The bust is from Roman van den Bogaerd and I have bought it because I like the face

Interesting bust, nicely painted. Particularly like the work on leather.

As for the fish on his shoulder, the only explanation that comes to mind is that the bust depicting a character from the Dark Ages/Medieval time period, there were no plastic bags in those days... plus the fact, as suggested by Warren, that it is a bust, with no hands.

Thank you very much for those explantions. But now I have a new question. How has he got the fish without legs? He is a bust and much more important. What will he do with the fish?

"How has he got the fish without legs?"

Lol... That's a hard one... for which I can't find an answer... Unless someone with legs put down those fish on his shoulder?... :p

"What will he do with the fish?"

    That's an easy one... Lol...

Even with no arms he could still eat it, raw, one by one, by turning his head to pick those fishes... :D

Or he could use the help of someone with legs, for cooking it for him... :hilarious:

    Cheers!

Y'know, when you first posted this thread, Ulrich, and I saw the title but hadn't yet opened the post, I thought that it might have been a depiction of Friar Tuck, especially as portrayed by Eugene Pallette in "The Adventures of Robin Hood" from 1938. Robin (Errol Flynn) spots Tuck on a riverbank, asleep as he fishes. Robin takes a fish form Friar Tuck's line and places it in his lap, waking him. That would make a nice vignette.

    Prost!

Brad. That was my thought too as I saw the bust on the show: Friar Tuck
