Nap, you're right but a bit of humor never hurted anyone (as you know since you liked all the posted variations.....) and there's no doubt this great work will, regardless the price, decorate my room next year as I made clear in my post.
As for Grashopper.....don't worry, there's no native american version of this great painting and even if there was we wouldn't post it since respect might be due the poor sods...

I do not think so, John! And that should not be understood like this!

What I want to show is:

"The Last Supper" is the second most-changed painting that exists! It is only surpassed by the "Mona Lisa", also by Leonardo, of which there are hundreds of variants.

    That means:
Even if it is the representation of a regligious topic (which can be purely commercially sensitive!), the interest in works after Leoardo da Vinci is very large - worldwide!

Seems only the maker of the sculpt and I found the buffoonery misplaced...so be it...

   ....Nice one.
I like the concept and might well have been interested, and at such a reasonable price too, but to be perfectly honest I really don't like some of the face sculpts - especially the two at the center.
No offence intended but that's just how it is for me.

There exist at least two ones...!

But I prefer not showing them here (any more) ...:stop:

My wife works for long as a volunteer at the Bremen Art Museum - which is why I have been interested in painting for a long time.

And my experience is: only really good and famous finds interest and is imitated (or falsified) ...

    Cheers

    Hi Guys

Thank you to Martin for removing the pictures he posted as I said all sculptors welcome thoughts ...this would be a amazing piece painted or you could also do a marbling effect perhaps

    Thread tidied up

    Happy benchtime

Will you be at the SMC in the Netherlands in Oktober? I would like to see the quality of the casting etc.etc.
After all this is an expensive set. A review on PF would also help.

Has anyone done a tutorial on how to do a marbling effect? I'd like to give it a try on some 54mm figures.

For my "Grey Beard" I used oils and small fiber brushes. It makes the figure look more like "painted" but you do not get a very sharp detail as in normal figure painting ( but hey. that was the purpose, wasn't it )
