This a Samurai figure kit of Takeda Shingen (武田 信玄, December 1, 1521 – May 13, 1573), of Kai Province, was a pre-eminent daimyō in feudal Japan with exceptional military prestige in the late stage of the Sengoku period.

Received the kit from El Greco last week (always great customer service). It consists of 20 grey resin parts. Superbly sculpted by Master Ruslan Vorobyov and amazing casting for a 54mm figure kit.

Final thoughts: This is my first 54 mm resin kit in twenty years. I prefer 90 and 120 mm white metal and resin kit. Casting is superb, better than the 1/6 Samurai mtd. bust that I received couple years ago. The Tachi blade could have cast a bit thicker or in white metal. A 90mm white metal kit release would be nice. A superb Samurai kit. Highly recommended.

    Cheers,

    Felix

    Cheers Felix :)
Only do 54's myself and there's some great detail on this one (I can't imagine how I missed the release images - must have been sleeping I suppose)
I'm not a big fan of resin for weapons since I always end up replacing them
I'm sure the more skilled could use boiling water to correct the problem (which may just be this one kit), but given my general clumsiness I'd find a way to snap it off

Lot's of lovely stuff to paint on this one - Hey ho another to add to the list :p

    Hello, Friends!
Felix, many thanks, for the remarkable objective review. Are sincerely glad that the figure was pleasant. Yes, very much I regret that the sword unfortunately, gets out of a shape, a detail thin and when casting and the subsequent storage loss of a form the inevitable fact
    with sincere respect,

    Excellent review thank you.

Fabulous figure; I just wish it was in 75mm so I had a fighting chance of doing it justice. As per the comments, I wish sculptors would do bladed weapons in WM rather than resin. Often even if you get it back into shape using hot water, resin seems to have a'memory' which means before long, it is warped again.

    Otherwise, a deeply impressive figure!

I don't do Samurai myself, but a marvelous kit nonetheless. Samurai fans should jump on this one.

Sorry about that, I am so used to seeing KP do the reviews that I did not see who actually posted it. My apologies for the misplaced laurels....!
