Thanks, Victor. I hope I can bring it to completion as well. I'm pretty determined. I don't think it's over my head, it just takes a lot of stick-to-it-iveness. But when I consider what I accomplished 25 years ago, the inspiration, framing the print, accumulating the figures, coach, and artillery, planning and building the base, completing the major conversions and poses, I think maybe I am around halfway. The repetitiveness of the figures - grenadiers and infantry - is going to be a challenge, but I'm hoping there are enough other various figures to paint, that if I get bored, I'll just switch to a new subject.

Paul, thanks for the contact information.

Today my copy of la berline de Napoleon arrived. Not bad considering I ordered it May 21, and it came from the UK. Thanks for the heads-up, Old Taff.

I also have been in contact with Nathan Pendlebury at National Museums Liverpool. Just received an email from him today with some questions. I haven't bothered him for expected time frame. Just glad it is in the works.

I've been working on the two additional horses and postilion for the Berline, as well as cleaning 20 years of dust and debris off of everything else. I forgot how long these horses take to assemble because of having to add the base material between the two halves then having to fill and sand to make the head fit, etc. These horses have a good deal of tack that all has to be cut, glued, then install the fiddly bits, buckles, rings, etc. I can't work on it everyday, but I'm enjoying it when I can.

Paul, I hope you can get back to your work desk and join in the fun.

You can also get white transfer sheet so you can print the other colours then the backing shows as white. As trimming could leave a white border it's probably best to add a widish border of the background colour around the edge (in the case of the berline black).

Mr Decal also does white, as do several other online suppliers:
