    Hi, Derek-
    Thanks for the link.
About 20 years ago, I painted a 54mm white metal bookworm and gave it as a gift. Alas, that it should not now be available!

Maybe one of PF's 3D printing pros will make one or two

I bought one at Kulmbach some time ago (2011) from a different dealer whom I don't know the name. :( My recollection is that more than one dealer had the figure. I would go onto the British Flat Figure site and ask, someone will definitely know the answer. http://www.intflatfigures.org/index.php

I've always been fond of Spitzweg's work - as one of the 'Romantic' artists, some feel his stuff is a bit 'twee', but seeing this one
again, and remembering a few of his others, makes me think they would inspire an excellent collection of figures. Perhaps a
clever sculptor might feel the same .....

Yes - Uli Puchala is still on web and will be as long as the page will be running on the server. Unfortunately the business is gone. I visited Uli at his current living place two years ago and picked up two of his figures he had prepared for me. He told me that he is no longer in business and that his remaining stock of figure kits from his former company is exhausted.
Most of the 54mm moulds and masters were sold to Müritz Miniatures years ago and Uli switched to the large scale figures. Müritz Miniatures disappeared likewise since awhile.
While the figures lacked sometimes todays crispness of detail their anatomy and expression were exceptional when Uli was at the height of his career as a sculptor.
