    Hi All,
I thought as I'm at the bench I might as well start this 120mm piece also. I wanted to make a figure not in a scarlet tunic, so decided on the green of the 3rd battalion 60th regt. of foot K.R.R.C. - The King's Royal Rifle Corps.
I have used some pieces from my range of figures to pare back ready for over sculpting and detailing.

This one should move quickly to greyscale now the piece is prepared.

    Hi Dennis & Nap,
Thank you for looking in. I have added the collar braiding, put the number 3 on the epaulettes, done the buckle on the haversack strap, cleaned up the metal rifle. I have picked out a few more stock pieces and this will be the final pose. Still need to do the cuffs, helmet badge, straps etc. Hopefully will get it all done this weekend and undercoated.
    cheers

    Hi Malc,
Well here he is in primer. All done, although I did forget to do the cap badge and I'll redo the snake belt buckle I think. Tomorrow I'll have a few hours on the Road to Ulundi.
    cheers

Safe journey and drive carefully. ;)

Looking good Richie. IMO the 60th's was one of the smartest infantry uniforms of the 19th century so looking forward to seeing it with some paint on.

    Hi Malc,
    Thank you mate.

    Hi John,
Thanks for looking in mate, something a bit different in the green.

    Hi Roger,
Thanks mate, might not be too smart once I start painting.

Well mate, if this is your favourite regiment from this period, how does the uniform base coat look. A good shade, totally wrong shade.....please critique. I do want to go for a campaign look. Apologies about the smudgy photo.
    cheers

Looks a tad on the light shade at the moment but a little subtle shading will sort it, super looking conversion that I find very tempting to have a go at!

    Hi All,
Decided to block in a lot of the colours to take away some of the green. Happy so far with the progress as doing this has brought the uniform base colour into perspective.
    cheers
