Another nice bust from Rob Lane of elan13, this one a Billman from the Wars of the Roses period 1455-1485.

After priming I wanted to slightly give some weathering texture to the metalwork, I did this with neat Artist's oils stippled on the required surfaces, this of course had to be left to fully harden off, so I completed two other busts before going back to him.



The oils are now hard so I shall continue on this bust.

I like the worn effects on his helmet Geoff. It did snow heavily at the battle of Towton.

Thanks Bob and Nap, I haven't touch him since posting Bob what with the nice weather and a few jobs to do to keep someone happy.
I have been thinking of the DAK one just a shame there is no headgear.

Thanks guys, I do sometimes, but now sometimes in the afternoon, but with this lovely weather I have come to a stop as I have some jobs that need doing in the 1/1 world.

Now Easter is over and I have managed to do all the jobs outdoors I had on my list I have managed to get some colour blocking on the bust.

I used AK metallic finish on the helmet and breast plate, this gave me the chance to blend in the two colours I used straight from the tube.



I just have to add the rust and detail the helmet now.

The body has the colours blocked in after giving the shadow effect to the body part of the tunic, the arms have an overall darker shade which I shall lighten later.



I shall now let him dry before further work.
