With notorious shiners like red, yellow, green and blue add a touch of Tamiya X21 to your mix.
    The DPM looks well James.(y)

I don't see sock's but I do see puttees around the ankle, they were khaki with a lighter khaki tape to secure them, hope that helps

Testors dullcoat will do the job, a few light coats rather than one heavy one.

    That's the one James.(y)
Don't use too much as it will leave a chalky residue.:(

IIRC by the time of the Falklands most SLRs had black plastic butt and handgrips. I stand to be corrected however.

Still some wooden furniture about Bill.

Yes, I wasn't implying that the wooden furniture was wrong. The changeover lasted right up to the introduction of the SA80. Some units held on to the wood as a matter of principle. I must admit I didn't like the plastic. Bill

Can't see the figure......only the base!

Cammo looks great. A lot of people are put off by cammo which is difficult to do. I'd say you've nailed the colours and you've got the shapes in scale.
    Puttees are a khaki colour.
I'll pm you on how to use dull coat and the Tamiya
    flat base.
    Great effort on this, JD

I wasn't sure I had it black to start with but I got it confirmed from a friend who was in the Falklands
His rifle had the wooden butt and grip.
    Thanks
