These are really beautiful piece in 28 mm, it is rare to have such a beautiful definition for historical pieces in this size, thank you Martin for the link. There is enough to make great historic army!(y)

Just had a look at their site (or rather Facebook page). Their Russian Naps and 30 Years/EC War ones look great as well (see below).

Incredible detail for 28mm, and a fair price as well (I got a sprue of Perry Bros Russian command figs as a try out and I thought they were good). I assume these are either modelled in a larger scale then pantographed down, or, as with Vitrix from 3D software (I suspect the latter?).

To be honest, they seem able to get more detail in at 28mm that I can at 150mm/6" (1/12th)... so, must try harder! (I hope to start work on renovating my 40+ year old figs over the coming weeks: I'm split between doing just a re-paint and/or more substantial detailing).

I really like these and such incredible detail at such a small scale, I need to get me a few of these.

As I’m 70 this week and have enough problems with 54mm figures, I won’t be attempting anything this size though wish I could as they’re just fab.

I'm sorry, but both your suspections are wrong - all figures are sculpted manually in their natural size :)

That's amazing... who do you employ, worker ants?

(tho' I recently read a strange book, "Swiftly" where Lilliputians were used to make ultra small clockwork devices... and Brobdingnagians as super heavy assault troops: I wouldn't recommend it).

    It's a kind of magic! :)
I've asked Maxim, our Sculptor, to make some pics from the workbench - will show you when'll have them

Just amazing detail in that scale (or any for that matter). I can remember the old Willie SUREN figures in 30mm were considered state of the art in the '60s. Russia has become a center for quality figure production. CHRONOS leads the way imo.

These are truly fantastic. In a field ( 28mm ) which is notable for rather poor sculpting, with poor proportions in the anatomy, these are at last something quite outstanding. Bravo, I do hope they are a great success : they certainly deserve to be !

Agree that Avanpost are something else (and incredible that they're sculpted 1:1 scale size), but the Perry Bros and Victrix both do 28mm figs which are pretty detailed and well proportioned (Perry's cover a very large range of periods in hard plastic and metal; Victrix mainly Naps and ancients with dark ages on the way, mainly in hard plastic).

It's worth giving the Perry a go, where you can get a few trial plastic figs for as little as £1 (https://www.perry-miniatures.com/pr...cts_id=2564&osCsid=naebnrusbo5sg2hh79dpui0dv0 & https://www.perry-miniatures.com/pr...cts_id=2570&osCsid=naebnrusbo5sg2hh79dpui0dv0) or a pair of mounted dragoons for £2 (https://www.perry-miniatures.com/pr...cts_id=2566&osCsid=naebnrusbo5sg2hh79dpui0dv0)

    Dear friends,
Returning to the question of making our miniatures: here's two photos of chevaul-legers in progress we've found. Some tools can be seen, newly sculpted areas (lighter gray colored) and metal wire elements. That's how it works :)
