I’ve had this on the workbench for a while, but started base coating last night. It looks pretty rough at the moment but I’ll post a few more WIP pics when I’ve made some progress.

So looking forward to seeing this one mate!

Day 3 of painting the Lighthorseman. Still base coating some areas and starting to lay down the shadows and highlights to define the muscles in the horses legs and neck.

Further progress on the horse with the first round of oils applied. More highlights required.

One of this excellent company's finest releases and you seem to have made a great start.

Thanks guys. I agree it’s one of Tommy’s Wars best mounted figures.
Progress with oils has been slow but satisfying.

The horse is now 90% complete. Still some bags to add to the saddle and the reins.
The rider is about 50% done. Scabbard and rifle to add.

Sitting in my office in Beer Sheva I can almost hear your horseman and his horse charge the Turkish lines just outside...
