Wow !!! Another very beautiful miniature by Bonapartes ! Great work ! It's a shame that I do not have the level of painting at the height of this miniature!

Would it hurt to give a large piece ago, you never know you might be smitten like me on 120 plus.

Like him using his valise as a pack and love the gallic nose, it's nice to get away from the 'ideal' face. I'm sure somebody will be able to get just the right shade of red (Rouge-Nez?) for the end of it... acrylic dewdrops anyone?

Is it me or does the head look a tad large for the torso, even the slightest anatomical miscalculation can make these 200mm giants look "wrong" to the eye.
    Never-the-less, a real painting challenge!

    Hi Steve
The body is hunched over bringing the face closer to the camera, so I believe it's just down to the camera angle shown in the photo, I didn't find the head to be too big for the body when I was working on the legs, it all looked in scale with itself.
I also tried to make the legs look as if he was a bit twisted and struggling to drag his wounded left leg along.
    Cheers

A lovely piece, as are the other bust with legs added, and the combined scuplting has worked well. Unfortunatley too large a scale for me.

    Cheers
