    A little bit more done, face now blocked in with oils, it's surprisingly hard to paint closed eyes!

    Interesting concept; will be interested to see how it comes out. I am just finishing this one myself. I thought about making him a spectre in black and white, but ended up doing him in the standard service uniform. You are right about the eyes; difficult to get right.

    Like it, both concept and execution - with one minor detail: perhaps the change from bronze statue to live uniform needs to be less linear?

    Taking a bit of shape now, hopefully the pics will show the new to old transitions on both the man and the statue. Will be toning the metal bits down with a brown wash as they're a bit too bright. As ever please comment

    If I may....a green or blue wash on the metal may be a better choice....as it will add better depth...and create an aged patina.....IMHO
