    Mike,
I love both versions! (And that fairly rustic cold weather gear on the Freiherr is a nice touch.) Outstanding painting of a marvellous model.

What always blows my mind is that even blown up to the size of a 1/5 scale figure the pinting on your your 54mms is absolutely flawless.
Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

    Cheers

It looks like them..so many renditions of personalities however well finished don’t look like the individual. These do..with an injection of personality that sure works bearing in mind the tiny size.

Thanks Karl, he was a challenging and fun to paint.
Like you I too like the Rustic outfit he's wearing.
Got rabbit & reindeer fur - anything to stay warm.
Original photos Richard based these on show this clothing combination well.

Neat to hear from you Grass And pleasing to hear you think he looks like Manfred. Thank you.
Always trying to capture a personality in my figures and especially hard when it a recognisable figure.
Original photos were particularly helpful in doing this.

    Tell you what.

They look miraculous enlarged, I don't know how many times in those pics. So there is no doubt in my mind that they look damn good up front and personal:wideyed::D(y)!

There is some good explanatory stuff in Mikes articles in Mr Black pubs. With WNW doing Camels, and hopefully a tripe...could be pretty interesting.

Thanks as always Marc for adding a note.

Warren - Unfortunately was time restricted so didn't have opportunity to take In Progress shots.
I've shared lots of Step by Steps here & in my articles in number of publications.
I've got a folder on my Facebook page detailing each of these.
Trust some of these will help to share my thinking.
    Happy to answer specific questions.

The detail you manage to paint on 1/32nd scale figures never ceases to amaze me.

Not sure how to make smaller photos mate, maybe if I add as thumbnail.
Always opted for this option when uploading to save click through on thumbnail- not working?
Kind to hear your thoughts Nap, Andrew & Ken.
Try to make most of detail despite the scale, though sometimes maybe too small to appreciate without photos.
