    Available very soon is this 1/9th scale resin bust sculpted by Maurice Corry. It depicts an Officer of the 17th Lancers during the charge of the Light Brigade. Balaclava 1854.

    Another great bust Gordon, but the uniform looks more like the 16th at Aliwal than the 17th at Balaklava. Am I wrong? I stand to be corrected.

    I can see where you are coming from Mike. They do appear similar. There are differences in the two tunic colour being the main Scarlet & Blue. I think they would look grear side by side.

    You are not the only person to question the accuracy of the jacket. Moz did a bit of research on this and found an actual stable jacket worn by Lieutenant Sir William Gordon during the charge. Photos are from the National Army Museum and show the sabre cuts. ( The russians have denied any involvement)
    A great piece of reference.
