    Thanks Bob,
I will take my time, If I can get the Colours done before I go away I will be pleased. I can then take the Body & the V Bust away with me.
OSWMBO keeps a close eye on what I pack when we go so should get brownie points for just two busts.

The colours, torso etc. are superb. The bearskin and the double chin scales could be better.

    Greetings,

Well off to a good start I have added the the shaft , Final and Hands to the shafts. so the are in the correct position, I will add the ferrule's later when I am ready yo mount the Bust. Now I have to decide to do one at a time or work on them both.

Colour Dimensions. In the 1898 Dress Regulations it stated that Colours were to be 3ft 9in W X 3ft 0in D Exclusive of Fringe. The Shaft is 8ft 71/2 in including Royal Crest and ferrule. Colour Cords are Crimson & gold.

The First Colour or Kings Colour is. Crimson with with the Royal Cypher of Edward V11 in the centre surrounded by the Collar of the order of St Patrick all in gold, surmounted by the Imperial Crown. The fringe is of Crimson and Gold.

The Second Colour or Regimental Colour. Is The Great Union ( Union Flag ) Red White & Blue. with the Cyphers of King Edward V11 and Queen Victoria. surmounted by the Imperial Crown. Below the Cypers is a scrol with the figure 1 (one)in the centre,

    Greetings,
Well at long last, been a slight delay to things re family commitments etc.
Im pleased to say that I have managed to get the base coats on and the heraldry, start on the highs & lows.
I have been given some great tips re shading by Tommi using a Glaze Medium, so looking forward to putting this into practice.

Rather you than me painting the Colours. Brave man and it's looking good too. Hope you are keeping the table tidy.

    Thanks Bob.
The table is spic & span:whistle:
The Colours are not so bad. Thankfully at this point in the Regiments history they didn't have a shed load of Battle Honours to be applied.
I did say that these colours can be painted by all and not to daunting.
