This diorama has been a long slog, but I’m about 80% of the way there. I still have to add a decent bit more including mud, weathering, grasses & plants, etc. The shrubbery in the foreground is just thrown in to figure out composition. Any feedback or advice on the rest of the greenery, or anything for that matter?

Firstly, let me say well done. There's a huge amount of work gone into this diorama and I think you've done a great job. Secondly, there diorama could be so much better with the addition of some ground cover (grass, weeds, flowers etc) on the base.

The vehicles are sitting on the surface of the base, so they lack the weight of a vehicle that is seated into the ground, rather than sitting on top of the ground.

Also the soldiers (both German and US) are standing on the top of the ground, rather than in it. Pressing the feet into the groundwork a little bit helps make the figure look more realistic and shows that he and the groundwork are connected.

I'd certainly recommend that you add some grass and clumps of weed/ flowers to your groundwork. Don't forget that D-Day was in early June, so the spring grass would have been high and the flowering plants would have been active. I believe with a little more work, this diorama could be greatly improved.

Completely agreed. More, if I may, I would suggest to get the two tanks (Hetzer and Jagdpanther, correct ?) more operative adding loads, like net, boxes, fuel tank, etc. Also a nazi flag to help the aerial reconnaissance could give a further touch to the dio.

Beside that I find the foreground to clean. And there is no interaction between the figures.
It looks that they all doing their thing.

Nice composition. Agreed about suggestions above. The grass will make a difference.
By the way, forget about that flag on the vehicles. By this time the germans were hiding from planes....

Yes Adrian , agree with you but the whole diorama doesn't give the idea that germans is hiding from someone, no masking net, tanks in full sight, very relaxed people, as they are far away from the combat zone. They don't need a flag to be hit by a Tempest !
