    Hello everybody!

This bust is my latest paint work. Bust is sculpted, casted and painted by me :) I'm still proud of myself, because I was able to sculpt and cast this bust - it was difficult and incomprehensible for me o_O Sorry, if I mention this a few more times - I promise I will soon calm down!

Unlike the first two Japanese, for this Japanese I made a beard and mustache and changed the shape of the eyes, and I made hair (ponytail) on the other side. For a change.

I used acrylic and tempera (tempera - a little bit).

    Best regards from St.Petersburg (Russia),
    Olga Zernina

Fabulous Olga and I love the beard (Without it he reminds me of the character from the 'Water Margin' TV programme that I grew up with - was he Lin Chung? Seems a long time ago now, but groundbreaking at the time) Anyway I love all three busts and the rendition of the silk bears close study
    Cheers

Another stunner and I love the way you sculpted the hair and beard. The freehand is to die for as usual.

Another super piece Olga.....I'm not going to critique but ask a question....I pretty sure you are showing the warrior holding a sword with both shoulders forward, but looking directly from the front there is not much projecting that. Maybe a bit more material in the lower center might help that. For my taste it looks a little too straight cut across the bottom. It's no big deal as your paintwork makes up for it, so you can tell me to go pound salt if you what; I think I have a block in the back of my yard just in case...It won't be the first time.
    Was that a question?:)

    Hello Wayne ! Thank you!
I relied - I used this photo. I think that my Japanese holds the sword with one right hand. But I'm a beginner sculptor I can make mistakes with poses and volumes :)

Ah yes...I see,...I thought he was holding the sword pointed down in this pose....Keep up the great work. You are on your way with your sculpting.

Absolutely stunning as usual...but...for me...it is the hair that really stands out on this one.
