At the end of time, in the Norse mythology, will come the ragnarok, all the gods will come on the field in the final battle of good against evil and each God will meet his nemesis.Thor, god of thunder, lightning and storm, will clash with the gigantic snake Miðgarðsormr whose length is such as to surround the earth, and after a fierce fight will finally kill him with the Mjöllnir, the hammer forged by the dwarves symbol of the god same. Thor will not survive the battle, however, and he will die soon after, poisoned by the snake's poison. At the end of the ragnarok good and evil will kill each other and the world will be destroyed and then rise again from the tree of life with new men and new gods.
I had an old AITNA Viking, in 75mm, won years ago at an exhibition, which I had never been able to do because I did not like posture and I had not found a way to use it. The level of sculpture is certainly not the current one so I never decided to start it. in this hot summer, too hot for something challenging, so I tried to do something fun. The Viking's ax has made room for Mjöllnir and the sword with a shield in which the yellow and black colors alternate, symbolizing the alternation of light and darkness, of good and evil. Thor is depicted dying, almost on the head of the Miðgarðsormr, in an apolicactic scenario of fire and lava.
In the end it was fun and I hope you enjoy it.

Unusual subject, but I like it very much. Like the use of cotton too.
Has the feeling of an old oil painting, circa rembrandt or Van Rijn (but not by them - the style is to different.
