Thanks Karl & Bob for supportive comments.
This is very much a Work In Progress & I use photos to correct flaws as well as give me a sense of how this is coming together.

    Sorry mate!
This is a conversion by Andy from already available Tommy's War figure.
Original was artillery loader TW32-019 I think.

If I've said it before I'll say it again, your work looks like fine art that most would find on the wall in a gallery.

Thanks Rigaud, "Prop", Kurt, Marc & Mobo.
Nice to hear from each of you, thanks for commenting here.
That is good to hear shaving cream effect works for you Michael. Thanks!
This will be reinforced by small tools Andy has sculpted.
Especially pleased you're happy with early stages Andy mate. More to come as I dig into all the extra bit too.
Again too kind Joe, you know how small he is mate so you'd be hard pressed to see him in a gallery ;-)

Here's the figure and equipment that Mike's got. As he said he's a converted Tommy's War figure, so the work of Nino Pizzachemi. I just altered his limbs to have him seated and shaving, rather than carrying an artillery round.
The equipment is a mixture of scratch-built stuff and Tommy's castings. I sculpted the jacket.

    704020.jpg

Webbing made from lead foil and copper wire, with Tommy's satchel and water bottle. The bayonet and entrenching handle are some styrene bits with lead details.

Billy can and holdall made from aluminium and lead foil, plus copper wire and a mixture of Historex cutlery and scratch-built knife, brushes and shaving equipment.

Mike is painting him as a Kiwi, so I sculpted a Lemon Squeezer for him. It will sit on the ground or hang somewhere (Its hollow). He'll hold the cut throat and have the Billy on his lap.

Here's the guy in the home he'll live in eventually - an improved shellhole. He's stuck here until nightfall, so everything has to be done in the hole. Notice he even has an 'en suite' behind him!
