Wish I'd grabbed one of these when he was about.
Would make good ANZAC in Boer War with a few mods.

    Hi Kev.
Yes it is rather neat. I spent an hour or so yesterday with tunic colour. I came up with a base of Vallejo Field Blue.
    with some lighter blue washes..
I painted the helmet white and have washed in thin washes of various browns to give it that tea stained look.
I saw you review, do you have any info 0n the goggles ie Brass / white metal rims. also looking for tips for the google glass.
    Thanks

Hi Mick - the metal rims could be steel or brass, the lenses were green glass and the strapping could be cotton drill or soft leather. As others have said, these were usually private purchase, although some were provided by the Board of Ordnance - have a look at the early type of goggles worn by drivers in Edwardian times, and you'll get the idea(y)

    Greetings.
1st I must apologies but I forgot I was doing a WIP with this one. ( it comes to us all.)
2nd it been in the Dettol bath as I was not happy with the tunic colour , It is still coming up very shiny.

Still quite a bit of work to do but I am pleased the way its coming, but we have been around the houses a few times with it. No fault of the kit just me.

    Hi Steve.
Yes agree mate, I have given it two coats of Field Blue Vallejo 70964 (washes) and it has helped a great deal to what it was, will apply a couple more.
    Thanks
