Smart and arrogant as an elegant French soldier should be(although he is Scottish but I guess some of the French snobiness of his colleagues has rubbed off on him).

I have worked on the coat a little, still some areas for touch ups.
I have finished the long vest and did some work on the leather belt.
For the reds on the vest i have used vallejo game visceral red, for lights added vermillion red and last lights i've used scarlet ( Vallejo) all of it mixed with Tamiya Flat base x-21.
As for shadows, just added a little bit of black to the red mix.
For the leather belt i have mixed some vallejo leather, dab of red leather and kaki, added few washes of burn umber and finished the edges with orange brown. 20180529_214024.jpg 20180529_214031.jpg

    Thanks mate,
The flag will be a tremendous amount of work since it has the cross rather than the X, bit i will take the challenge.

I have finished the cuffs, i jad to do a little modification on them.
The regiment initially had the regular boot cuffs, but around mid 1740's added the Scottish Style flap with 3 buttons., it will change later to a more tight boot cuffs with pointed lace around the cuffs and white troussers from 1758.

The figure looks better and better with each step you take and as usual the historical info is a welcome bonus to the artwork.

    Hi Daniel

Cuffs looking good and as Oda says a history lesson as well .

Question ...is the flag on a brass rod ..I would be concerned it bending with the weight !

    Looking forward to more
