    Hi folks just a quick couple of pics of my latest WIP..face just about done....top half blocked in

    Great start with super face Mike. I'm working on this one too; just cleaning him up and getting ready for primer coat. I like your yellows so far. Which yellows are you using for base and shading? I also agree that this one is a real cracker from the talented Mr Reid and MMM.

    Hi Jon thanks for your comments,...the yellow is a base of any mid yellow, then a wash of mars yellow oil, allow to dry then high lite with a yellow oil mixed from mars yellow,perm yellow and white to achieve a washed out/faded yellow..its important to let the previous oils to dry. The deepest shadow and outline is burnt umber oil...its really what is pleasing to your eye...;)
