    Hello hobby friends

This is my latest miniature, 30 mm flat painted in oils. It depicts the Danish knight
Sir Saxo Aagesen vassal of Reval (today known as Tallin) in Estonia.
He was born around the year 1200 and died in Reval in the year 1259.
Saxo Aagesen was out of the great Hvide family.

I have tried to make 3 different variants of blue, to show that different materials render different hues of the same colour.

Hope you like it, but feel free to comment

Best wishes and happy painting to you all

    Brian

Beautiful Brian! The three dimensional painting effect on the flat is spot on and the presentation is perfect.

    Well done,

I have got some suggestions, from a flat figure painter on another forum, that I will try out. It's small improvements on some spots. Will post new pictures when done.

I like to do danish knights and I have a couple of books with danish coat of arms. Some history comes often alonge with the painting process, because I like to know who they were and what they did.
