My new project, Hecker & Goros 54mm white metal figure, started painting flesh parts today, first lights & shadows already in place, hopefully will be finished tomorrow.
    Again using acrylic paints. IMG_20180223_153824.jpg IMG_20180223_153930.jpg IMG_20180223_153947.jpg IMG_20180223_153824.jpg IMG_20180223_153930.jpg IMG_20180223_153947.jpg

Looking forward to seeing this finished. I have a few Hecker & Goros 54mm Bavarians of this period, which is largely underdone, in my GA. Great to see you doing this one.

What diameter pins have you used for the legs?

    Cheers

Nice figure and one of my favourite periods too. I must keep an eye out for these H&G figures, I wouldn't mind a few myself;)

    Hi Chris !
I used 1/16 (1,6mm) brass rod for pins. I have one unfinished H&K Bavarian fusilier beside this.

    Paul,

    Here is Hecker & Goros's website http://www.hecker-goros.de

They are good quality. I found them by accident at Berliner Zinnfiguren when visiting Berlin a few years back and purchased some. Their website is here: https://www.zinnfigur.com/en/Round-Figures/Blank-kits/Hecker-Goros/

I have also purchased from their website, but they don't have PayPal - so I had to use a bank transfer.

    There are others sellers https://www.fredericus-rex.eu/index.php?manufacturers_id=23

    Thanks Chris
I picked up a couple which were in a mixed bundle of figures that I got a couple of years ago (German nurse and WW2 soldier cutting a slice of loaf if I recall) I was impressed with the quality even though they weren't 'my' period so they've sat in the box since awaiting a new owner.
I'll take a look at the website - appreciate the links
    Cheers

I have ordered figures from Berliner Zinnfiguren about 3 times, I have used Paypal every time, maybe it's for EU countries only don't know, service is top quality, every time my order is brought by courier to my door,

Well, after a week I have almost made progress here, I was not satisfied how the face turnout so stripped off all paint and started over again, there was one button missing from the jacket and few flaws that was unnoticed before. I made new button from putty and filled some cracks.
Today I got the face finished, hair & hat basecoated.

Thank you Chris. This is my 3rd figure so I have to be satisfied by my result so far, in some places painting looks rough and in pictures the errors can be seen much better than bare eyes.

Went quiet for two weeks, but now slowly making this ready, not much painting left but I need to build a base for this.

    Happy Easter to all!
