    Hello, John,
Thank you for your kind words! We are trying to give the best to our friends and customers! I was searching for such wet palette for one year as I wanted to find the proper dimensions and the proper materials. The instruction leaflet is very important as I wrote down things that a lot of people using wet palettes ignore...And I search the refill paper and the properties...So I think that you have a choice. Watery paints or less watery...It depends on the painting style. And I kept the price low. I also tried it with oils using oils paper palette. It keeps the oils fresh for a month!

    Enjoy painting!

Mine arrived today..no problems with that sort of delivery from Greece..faster than often is the case for something from the USA...my first impression: bit smaller than masterson..but closes tightly, and being clear plexi I should be able to see what I’ve got going session to session...might be the size is less than some might want, but on the other hand it’s portable and convenient. I think it’s excellent value...deep enough that can be used for oils or other tube media that squeeze in blobs...and looks pretty strong enough to survive the vagaries of daily usage..

    Hello John,
Thank you for your nice comments and I am glad that you like it. As I said the point for me was that the palette must be handy and smaller than the big artists' and less than half of the price. In most cases, modellers work in small tables (small space) as they put a lot of stuff on the working space ( I am talking from my personal experience). For each session usually, this size is very good as we save also on the paper size (in case that we use the pro stuff) and the clear plexi allows to see what the painting is for. I use two or three palettes depending on the kind of painting (face, uniforms, metallics, weathering etc...). It saves a lot of in colors and when it is full we just change the small piece of paper. The Rowney refill (small packages) has enough membrane paper for 24 refills ( and six reservoir paper) and the Masterson for 60 refills! As the size is smaller. We can also use the baking paper we trust and know that works for this purpose!

    Hello,
Dee, Unfortunately, I will not sell wholesale this product as the profit is already very small. I wanted to keep the price low and give a very good product to my readers and modelers. The Wet Palette will work also for oils as this one is very tight so the oils can be workable for ages....not dried and will not collect dust!!!You can use the sponge to have the necessary height or not if you are using big quantities of tube oils. You can use a piece of carton with foam instead. The paper for the acrylics (supplied) can be used also for the oils but will absorb a lot the extra oil...If you want this will be ok. It is better to use a non-absorbing paper (like the tear-off palette's paper for oils) after you "dry" the colors from the tubes in a carton as usually. And as the oils are pastes I suggest using thick white glossy carton paper. I use clear plastic rectangular bags (having a white thick carton inside) and put it at the bottom of the Plexi container. So I throw away only the clear plastic bag (very cheap) when finished. But I very rarely use thinners. Be careful with the thinners...as the plastic maybe melt.

And an idea: if you are going to use the palette only for oils you can use the oils directly on the plexi bottom. Glue if you wish a white paper on the outside of the bottom to help you with the creating of the tone mixes ( or a grey or a black one ). It is up to you. The important thing is the airtight container, keeps the dust away from the oils and you can see what tones you had used in the last session without opening...

    I hope that this helped

Some interesting and useful idea's, I have always used a white ceramic tile as an oil palette, dust and dog hairs are a constant problem...

I use mine that way..and helps keep the cats out of the paint as well.

Just got one of these. Great service, arrived quicker than I thought and is a real quality item. I have used the ‘sandwich box’ home made pallet for a while but they are too deep for my taste, this one is quite shallow and is perfect for my needs.

Lid might seem a bit tight when you get them but it does free up a little. Still prefer to use greaseproof paper for the paint surface though. Never got on with commercial papers.

Thanks for the heads up Graham. I've bought one for each medium. I have a couple of Palettes at the moment I bought some while ago but they are quite large and have a big lip which I find cumbersome..........now I just need to learn to paint....LOL

    Hello Robert,
Did you make a new account lately? You must go to the PayPal settings and change it. As most users are from States and use eBay (that now oned the PayPal) filled automatically. I think that is.

    All the Best
    Stelios
