Hello folks,
I am currently working on this figure, i've got it from a lot of few figures sold some time ago.
The figure is from Labayen, i mist say i love these figures, i had to fix some areas and edges .
The original fusil was not available but i've got a good surplus of Charleville Muskets, i am debating if i will make this figure a Standard Bearer or leave it with the fusil.
I will have to add the buttons on the cuffs and twisted cords in a Herringbone pattern, typical of the Irish Brigades in French service.
The coat was red, lapels and cuff were yellow , collar was white ( changed to red in 1786) and turnbacks white.

Note: the illustrationfrom.Don Troiani shows a trooper in the 1776 uniform, note the short tails in yellow and waist belt , which was banned in 1779 Regulation.

I have start it to work on the regimental flag.
I had a white paler with the white cross from an unused figure, so i have painted the red and black squares and red cross in a different red to make it stand out...

The hat is done, face comes next...

Looks like a great start - looking forward to seeing more

Excellent build! I like Labayen's kits, too. I think they still hold up well today. Yours is shaping up very nicely.

Started the work on the red coat today...
I am usin as a base color a mix between Vallejo game color gory red and scale 75 blood red.

Added scale 75 Antares red to the base color for the first lights, for the second lights added a little bit of vallejo Scarlet.
Then accentuated the dark areas using Army painter Red shade.
I gave an overall wash of Antares red ( scale 75) and formula P3 Khorne red.
I will re- touch the highs a tad but it will be tomorrow.

The coat is done, jist need to trim some.areas bit virtually done.
I layed the base color for the facings usimg vallejo flat yellow and a dab of flat brown
